SUBJECT: I am opposed to H.R. 1409-- Card Check legislation

As a constituent in your congressional district, I would like to express my opposition to HR 1409, the Employee Free Choice Act. It has come to my attention that you have signed on as a co-sponsor of this legislation. I must respectfully disagree with your opinion and hope that you will reconsider. The economic back bone of our community is made up of small to medium size businesses, many that are family owned, not the corporate giants who have been characterized by the news media on this issue. I hope that you will recognize, and as former business owner yourself, can appreciate the risk this legislation is to the very fabric of our economy and the impact it can have on the workforce in this district. I encourage you to vote No on EFCA. Thank you.
